Squash

Squash is a wonderfully intensive, easy to learn racket sport: after 45 minutes, you will be wonderfully tired and satisfied. Everybody can learn to play squash easily, because of the availability of squash balls for beginning players.

You would like to play squash, but you have never done so before? Please contact us for details on the next introductory squash course: you will learn the basic techniques and the rules during 5 1-hour group lessons, on Friday nights from 19.00-20.00 h. 

There are 3 squash instructors, who would like to teach you the ins and outs of squash. But it goes without saying that you are always welcome, even if you haven't had squash lessons.

Reservations: you can make a reservation for a court yourself, through the website. Also available to non-members. You are not using your computer? You are welcome to contact us by phone to make a reservation: 071- 56 11 906.

Cost squash court?

• Squash court prime time € 19,- per 45 min.
• Squash court off peak hours € 12,- per 45 min.
• Student discount, €1 per person on the court rental fee, only off peak hours.

You can also rent:

• a squash racket including ball € 3,
• shoes € 2,50
• a towel € 1,50

Mini League

At YOUR LIFE sportsclub, we also have an in-house ladder competition for our squash playing members.

A period usually lasts 6 weeks, taking holidays into account. You will be placed in a group (according to skill/level), usually with a number of 7 or 8 players per group.

During the period, you are supposed to compete against all the players in your group. You can miss one match maximum, missing more matches means you will be removed from the league. You will receive the new groups and the results of the previous period via e-mail. This includes a list of phone numbers and e-mail addresses of the participants. The intention is that you contact players from your group yourself, in order to arrange matches.

So, there are no regular days, but you plan the matches together with your competitors. You record the result of the match with your competitor, on the list on the "squash board" beside the stairs.

Registration forms are available at the reception. Registration costs are €10, once-only.

Squash lessons

Squash lessons are of course available at YOUR LIFE sportsclub. Qualified squash instructor Arthur Smit gives lessons on Monday evenings and Saturday morning. These lessons can be given to individuals or two people together in a series of 5 or 10 lessons. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes. Payment: in advance at the first lesson, in cash at the reception. Only 20% of the cancelled lessons can be deferred.
